Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;<\/p>\n

Tomorrow\u2019s wind, if it be wild,<\/p>\n

Should waste them all.<\/p>\n

The crows above the forest call;<\/p>\n

Tomorrow they may form and go.<\/p>\n

O hushed October morning mild,<\/p>\n

Begin the hours of this day slow.<\/p>\n

Make the day seem to us less brief.<\/p>\n

Hearts not averse to being beguiled,<\/p>\n

Beguile us in the way you know.<\/p>\n

Release one leaf at break of day;<\/p>\n

At noon release another leaf;<\/p>\n

One from our trees, one far away.<\/p>\n

Retard the sun with gentle mist;<\/p>\n

Enchant the land with amethyst.<\/p>\n

Slow, slow!<\/p>\n

For the grapes\u2019 sake, if they were all,<\/p>\n

Whose leaves already are burnt with frost,<\/p>\n

This October I would like to share with you a tradition I have with my family, College of Charleston Sailing Team, and friends. When sitting down for dinner with family, teammates, and friends, we reflect on the past month by sharing your favorite and not so favorite moments, aka “Highs and Lows.” \u00a0This simple tradition reminds me of the wonderful life I live and the great people with whom I share all my memories. I prefer to get the Lows out of the way first and focus on the positive things in life, and without further adieu:<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Slamming my finger in a car door! That moment when you know the pain is coming but it just hasn\u2019t hit you yet.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Falling from 11th<\/sup> to 16th<\/sup> out of 16 in my Fantasy Hockey League\u2026 Help, please!<\/p>\n
