The opportunity to participate in sports during my collegiate years was one of the best experiences of my life! I learned so much! It really is an incredible experience! I would suggest if you have the opportunity to play do so! It will have such an amazing impact on the way you go through life.<\/p>\n
One of the benefits of playing sports throughout college was I didn’t really worry about working out or staying in shape. All of my workout were planned (some I did not agree with). My workout schedule was very intense and at times exhausting.<\/p>\n
Now that I plan my own workouts and schedule my own gym time I do put a lot more thought into where and how I invest my time. After attempting many different styles of workout from at home do it yourself workouts, to gym memberships, I have fallen in love with one particular “sport” if you will. That sport is CrossFit! CrossFit can be describes as constantly varied, high intensity, functional movements. CrossFit allows me to work out at a level that is similar to what I have grown accustomed to while competing on a collegiate level. CrossFit allows me to still be apart of a team and feel as though I am not just working for myself. CrossFit also gives me a player coach relationship, someone to help get me to the next level and guide me through workouts that I may not have been able to complete alone. In simple terms CrossFit is amazing! Any given week day at 6:00AM you will find fellow fellow Miguel Davis and I at CrossFit BMW (Crossfit BMW is located in a beautiful upcoming area of Midtown Detroit.
