Great stuff!<\/p>\n<p>_____________________________<\/p>\n<p>Well, even though I am looking out a window into a pit of despair (rain\/snow on April 24th!) I know this weekend will change my dreary and cold attitude quickly. \u00a0SO many outdoor events going on, its overwhelming. \u00a0Run This Town Detroit is a great program that I try to attend every\u00a0Saturday\u00a0morning (they also run on\u00a0Tuesdays). \u00a0They are a free workout boot camp, but they do more than just help you workout. \u00a0They\u00a0provide\u00a0an\u00a0extremely\u00a0supportive\u00a0environment\u00a0 where they focus on &#8220;collaboration over competition.&#8221; \u00a0Everyone is so welcoming and so great, it is a fantastic experience.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0addition, the\u00a0organization\u00a0I am helping to start, is\u00a0having\u00a0a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/507866979270120\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fundraising event<\/a> statuary\u00a0night at <a href=\"http:\/\/mcshanespub.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">McShane&#8217;s Pub<\/a> in Corktown. \u00a0Our name is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Southwest-Rides-Bikes-and-Boards\/359136987528162?fref=ts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Southwest Rides: Bikes &amp; Boards<\/a>, but we are much more than a bike and skateboard shop.\u00a0 We are a volunteer-run community shop as well as a youth entrepreneurship training center, providing training and education to our youth and community members. They will learn professional skill development, including bicycle mechanics, repair customer service, business management, fundraising, community outreach, marketing strategies, business expansion, product sales, and more.
