Actions such as volunteering once or twice shows generosity, but there\u2019s much more to giving than community service. Challenge Detroit has exemplified that giving is about offering time, attention, passion, education, and intent. Whether it\u2019s advocating for higher quality public transportation, eliminating food waste and creating meals for those in need; Challenge Detroit has also highlighted some of the most altruistic organizations and individuals in the city of Detroit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One aspect of giving is education\u2013 sharing knowledge, mentoring, influencing and being influenced. Throughout my swift few months at this fellowship, I learned about discovering the \u201cwhy\u201d in things and the impact and importance of giving. It allowed for a sense of purpose and fulfillment to be renewed and reminded me why I applied to the fellowship in the first place. I graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor\u2019s degree in Supply Chain Management. I am currently an Accounting Assistant at the Detroit Land Bank Authority.
